ICAN of Orlando is a local chapter of the International Cesarean Awareness Network, Inc. (ICAN). ICAN is a nonprofit organization founded by Esther Booth Zorn in 1982. ICAN's mission is to improve maternal-child health by preventing unnecessary cesareans through education, providing support for cesarean recovery, and promoting Vaginal Birth After Cesarean (VBAC).
ICAN of Orlando is a mother-to-mother support group. We hold free monthly meetings for anyone planning a spontaneous vaginal birth, anyone recovering from a cesarean and the birth professionals and activists who support us. Come to a meeting and share your story with a group of women who truly "get it"! Our members and Chapter Leaders are always willing and able to provide support and ideas.
