Melissa Holmes
Melissa Holmes is a DONA-trained Birth & Postpartum Doula and a Birthing From Within Mentor offering childbirth classes and doula services in Lake and Sumter Counties (along with some parts of Apopka). Melissa has been a student of birth for the past six years and believes wholeheartedly in the power of birthing women. Alongside offering her childbirth services, Melissa will be attending the Florida School of Traditional Midwifery starting in August of 2009 to become a Licensed Midwife in the state of Florida and a Certified Professional Midwife through the North American Registry of Midwives (NARM).
A few of Melissa's other hobbies include singing, studying herbalism, and taking care of animals. She is also is an active member of the Central Florida Birth Network, Florida Friends of Midwives, Birthing From Within®, and DONA International.
