“I trust the female body and its innate ability to create a healthy process throughout pregnancy and childbirth”. Virginia Wittebort , LM, CPM
I was raised in Venezuela and moved to North America when I was 19 years old. I found my soul mate in Orlando in 1997 and I have been married to Ron for over nine years now. We became parents in 2007. Our son, Asher, is the best mirror I ever had; I have learned more of myself in a single year than I did for the last 36 years. Asher’s wisdom humbles me and inspires me to serve the world from the ultimate place of service: “Love”. Motherhood is the greatest adventure of my life and I am enjoying every minute of it. Midwifery is my calling and my passion. I am honored to serve the world in this role.
I started going to births in 2003 and graduated from the Florida School of Traditional Midwifery in 2007. I did my training at The Birth Place in Winter Garden and my mentor was Jennie Joseph. Now I attend homebirths in the Central Florida area. My practice is small by choice, so my clients receive a very personal model of care and they become part of my family very quickly.
My model of care provides women and families with kind support throughout the profound process of pregnancy and childbirth. I respect the inherent human capacity to create their own experience in the direction that individuals choose for themselves. I encourage the entire family to participate in the process, and guide them towards assuming responsibility of their own bodies and journeys.
I approach pregnancy and childbirth with the confidence that they are natural, social, and physiological processes allowing them to evolve in their own accord. The level of intervention of my care is based on researched medical evidence, extensive training, and of course, my intuition.
